Organic Tulsi Tea

Tulsi

Tulsi (Ocimum tenuiflorum), also known as holy basil or Indian basil, belongs to the same genus as basil and is a member of the mint family. It is native to tropical and subtropical Asia. The plant is widely believed to have originated in India, where it has long held an esteemed place in the country’s culture. Tulsi also plays an important role in Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine, where it is commonly enjoyed as a tea on its own or in blends, for example with ginger. Tulsi is known for its highly aromatic, subtly sweet and herbaceous flavour with a gentle peppery note.

Yoshien Labortests

Laboratory Tests

We go to great lengths to identify the finest organic tea farms across the world’s most celebrated terroirs. All our teas are sourced directly from the farmer and, with a few exceptions, are certified organic or come from pesticide-free farms. Each batch of tea for every harvest is tested for pesticides and other pollutants in an independent German lab to ensure they meet our strict quality standards as well as HACCP food safety requirements.
