China Specialities
Traditional Chinese herbal tea specialities from China's best terroirs.
Butterfly Pea
Butterfly Pea tea of the highest quality, renowned for its deep azure-blue colour. Sourced from idyllic fields deep within China’s Guangxi province and cultivated entirely without pesticides. It features delicate notes of cooked edamame and fried sweet potato, and is particularly rich in antioxidants (anthocyanins).
Lao Ying
A Chinese herbal tea classic from Sichuan, where it is often enjoyed as a refreshing summer drink. The leaves and buds are hand-picked from wild-growing trees that thrive under the best conditions in the pristine highlands of the Himalayas. Further processing is carried out by local families who have been working with this tea for several generations.
Tea Flowers & Wild Golden Flower
The flower buds of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis) are known for their abundance of beneficial compounds, including functional saponins, polysaccharides, and catechins. Even in China, the extremely rare "Wild Golden Flower" (Jinhua; Camellia sect. chrysantha) is incredibly difficult to find. This remarkable species, with its vibrant yellow buds, grows only in a small region of Southeast Asia. It has a unique profile of rare polyphenols, including ellagitannin, proanthocyanidin, as well as kaempferol and quercetin derivatives. Our Wild Golden Flower tea is sustainably cultivated, sourced from a nature reserve in Guangxi.
