Matcha White Choc

Our Premium Matcha White Choc

With our Matcha White Choc, we have brought a long-held vision to life: to create a tea confection made from purely natural, premium ingredients, that can be enjoyed alongside tea entirely without compromise. Low in calories, vegan, gluten- and lactose-free, and offered at a fair price given the quality of its ingredients, it redefines what a sweet treat can be. It is thus the first Matcha Choc to come without the usual “downsides” of sweets, while meeting even the highest expectations in terms of depth of flavour and quality.

We use only carefully-selected, natural ingredients from organic or pesticide-free cultivation. At its heart is our premium organic Matcha Amaya, sourced directly from our partner farm in Japan. It is distinguished by its clear, vibrant character, a refined bitterness, and elegant hay-like, grassy notes, forming the foundational flavour of the Matcha White Choc. Compared to conventional matcha chocolates, it contains a significantly higher proportion of matcha, evident at first glance in its rich, deep green hue. Its exceptionally creamy texture and delicate, buttery texture are thanks to high-quality cocoa butter and finely ground almonds, rounded off with a touch of sea salt. After an extensive search, we chose to work with a renowned Swiss chocolate manufactory, whose unparalleled expertise has achieved an exquisitely smooth, buttery finish.

What truly sets our Matcha White Choc apart is the complete absence of conventional sweeteners such as refined sugar or artificial substitutes. Its sweetness comes solely from the “wonder sugar” D-tagatose. Our D-tagatose is produced by isomerising D-galactose, which is derived through the hydrolysis of gum arabic from acacia trees, making it 100% vegan and lactose-free. Tagatose has an exceptionally low glycaemic index while offering almost the same sweetness as sugar, making it suitable for diabetics as it causes minimal insulin spikes. It is non-cariogenic and may have a prebiotic effect in the large intestine. In addition, it contains around 60% fewer calories than sugar. Despite this, it delivers nearly the same level of sweetness as conventional sugar, without the artificial aftertaste often associated with other sugar alternatives. We also consciously avoid any additives such as emulsifiers, as well as allergens including gluten, soy and lactose.

We place just as much importance on packaging and presentation as we do on what’s inside: the Matcha White Choc is wrapped in light-protective, environmentally friendly paper with elegant gold embossing. The paper is FSC®-certified and made from ECF-bleached pulp. Each piece is embossed with a Japanese-inspired tatami pattern – a tribute to the heritage and philosophy of matcha.

Matcha White Choc

Tasting Notes

Our Matcha White Choc combines the grassy, fresh notes of premium Japanese matcha with the elegance of fine white chocolate. Its texture is exquisitely creamy, with a delicate, buttery smoothness that allows it to melt slowly on the tongue. It opens with a gentle, almond-like sweetness, followed by matcha’s characteristic subtle bitterness, layered with refined notes of fragrant meadow hay. Both elements are beautifully balanced, complementing one another in seamless harmony. The flavour lingers with a soft, well-rounded, lightly buttery sweetness that stays pleasantly on the palate.

We recommend letting the Matcha White Choc melt slowly in your mouth to reveal its delicate nuances. For a firmer bite with a slight snap, it can also be enjoyed chilled. It also pairs wonderfully as a subtle sweet accompaniment to any tea or a matcha latte.
