We take pride in offering the most comprehensive, highest-quality organic matcha from Japan, capturing the full spectrum of the matcha world in our offerings. For each quality grade, we select only the finest matcha from experienced organic tea gardens located in Japan’s most renowned terroirs, all of which must meet our strict standards for purity, taste, texture, and colour. From cultivation and cultivar selection, to several weeks of shading and traditional granite stone milling, we pay meticulous attention to every detail in the production. Each matcha is also re-tasted with every harvest and laboratory-tested for purity.
Premium Grade
Our Premium Grade Matcha is grown by our partner farmers according to strict organic standards and shaded for two weeks or longer. This results in a pleasant umami flavour, a high chlorophyll content, and a pronounced sweetness accompanied by a delicate, refined bitterness. Our Premium Grade Matcha is the ideal choice for regular matcha enjoyment and also perfectly suited for preparing matcha lattes.
Super Premium Grade
Elaborately cultivated matcha from the top terroirs of Uji, Hoshino, Aichi and the misty mountains of Kirishima. Ground on traditional granite millstones, long and carefully shaded, produced using cultivars especially suited for matcha – simply exceptional.

Chawan - Matcha Bowls
Whip up a bowl of Matcha in an authentic Chawan from Japan. Also known as Matchawan, these bowls are the centrepiece of the Japanese tea ceremony and are equally essential for any Matcha lover to enjoy this precious tea at home. Each Chawan is handcrafted and sourced from historic ceramic centres across Japan, showcasing a wide range of traditional shapes and regional styles.
Chasen - Matcha Whisks
Hand-carved from a single piece of flexible yet robust bamboo, the Chasen whisk is used to blend powdered Matcha with hot water. Chasen with 80 to 120 tines are suitable for regular, frothy Matcha tea, also known as Usucha, while those with 60 to 80 tines are used to prepare thick Koicha tea, as served during formal Japanese tea ceremonies.
Chashaku - Bamboo Spoons
Carved by hand from bamboo or wood, Chashaku are an essential tool for measuring and scooping out Matcha during the Japanese tea ceremony, as well as for everyday drinking.
Furui - Matcha Sifters

Chazutsu - Matcha Tea Caddies

We offer popular classics made of cherry bark (Kabazaiku) from the artisanal village of Kakunodate, tea caddies lacquered with Urushi lacquer from the famous Gato Mikio manufactory in Yamanaka Onsen, as well as metal caddies that come from the traditional Japanese manufactories Azmaya and Kaikado.
Natsume - Matcha Containers
The natsume caddy is used during the Japanese tea ceremony to store matcha before it is whisked into thin Usucha tea. Our selection of natsume ranges from everyday models perfect for Okeiko lessons, through to exquisite Urushi masterpieces that make for treasured Chadogu.
Fukusa - Silk Cloths
Fukusa silk cloths are used to ritually purify utensils during the Japanese matcha tea ceremony as a sign of respect to the guests and tools. Imported directly from Japan, our Fukusa are available in two weights and colours: the purple cloth is traditionally used by men and the red by women.
Kettles - Tetsubin
Traditional Tetsubin kettles for boiling water for tea, handcrafted at leading Nanbu Tekki foundries in Iwate: the centre of Japanese cast ironwork. Uncoated on the inside, the iron helps to mineralise and soften the water for a richer and sweeter brew.
