Hojicha is a roasted green tea from Japan, renowned for its warm, nutty-caramel notes and mild, low-caffeine character. We exclusively offer hojicha made from premium leaf material, each with its own distinctive character – from pure stem teas (Bo Hojicha) and classic Uji Hojicha to the highly floral Hanaka Hojicha.
Classic Hojicha
Classic hojicha from Japan in premium quality, featuring finely nuanced roasted aromas, delightful sweetness and a wonderfully warming character. With its naturally low caffeine content, hojicha is suitable for children and can be enjoyed into the evening.
Sannen Bancha
This low-caffeine, highly alkaline green tea speciality is made from leaves and stems, offering a gentle sweetness derived from unique polysaccharides. Over a period of three years (san nen; 三年), the material is either carefully matured (jukusei) or left to grow (koba), before undergoing a nuanced roasting process. We offer exceptional-quality, rare organic Sannenbancha from pioneering Japanese organic producers and leading farms, including the highly renowned Mr Miyazaki and Ken’ichi Ikawa, who specialises in natural tea cultivation.
Hojicha Powder
Premium hojicha powder from Wazuka, the heart of the famous Uji tea region. Specially roasted to our request for a rich, full-bodied aroma with a delicate nutty sweetness. A real delight as a tea or latte, this powder can also be used in baked goods.
