Wash by hand with water and a mild washing-up liquid if necessary. Do not put in dishwasher. Make sure the stand is clean and dry before placing the whisk on it.

Also known as a Chasen Yasume or Kusenaoshi, the matcha whisk stand is a tool designed to maintain the shape of bamboo Chasen whisks. After cleaning the whisk, shake off excess water and place on the stand, which allows for better air circulation when drying, thereby preventing mould and prolonging the life of the whisk.
