Liu An Gua Pian (六安瓜片) is the flagship tea of China’s Anhui province and is counted among the “Top Ten Famous Teas of China”. Its name translates to “melon seed”, referring to the tea’s distinctively shaped leaves and their deep, dark colour when brewed. The tea is made exclusively from pure leaves, without buds or stems, resulting in a refined bitterness and vegetal sweetness that is rare among Chinese teas.
